E-mails
I've checked a box allowing members to contact me by e-mail, but I can't see where to put my e-mail address.

Re: E-mails
You must have already entered that info when you registered. The system will use that email address. I will double check the board is set up to allow emails by default. The Rocker Returns wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 10:17 amI've checked a box allowing members to contact me by e-mail, but I can't see where to put my e-mail address.
I didn't realise this until the other day that if you go into your settings and change / update your email address to actually are also sending a request to re-register. Wierd. I discoverd it after I'd changed my email addy on phoenix. John tells me months later he didnt have to accept my req=uest to re-register. Of course I had no clue what he was on about and said I'd never requested to re-register - inadvertantly, I had.
Try the email settings again, I have made a change but whether its affected anything or not i'm unsure.

If you say I've already registered it that's fine - I don't want to change it !
And I don't want to lose my status as 'the first member'...

Re: E-mails
Its okay, underneath your profile pick if I click on the contact icon it offers me either PM or email options, so you must have the info in correctly.

Re: E-mails
Yeah, I've tried sending an e-mail to myself.
It worked, although it said it was from 'Alan' !

It's supposed to say "Alan" for emails sent from the site as in mass emails etc.
Hang on...

Re: E-mails
Dont think its worked.
Sent you an email.
Tick box to say email myself a copy.
Still not here yet, must be 5 minutes ago now.
Quicker with the postman.
Might need to look at some more settings for SMTP for emails.
Mind you, you sent one to yourself, I might give that a go
