The older man is Jack Shackleford - a family friend visiting from Tupelo.
He is often mis-identified as being Elvis' grandad.

I am sure those two photos of Elvis sitting on the coach were taken at the Fox Theatre manager’s office in Detroit on May 25, 1956 by Ed Braslaff.

I've seen them tagged as being from: 29th May 1956.

All that and Elvis is wearing a white shirt for this day and the recliner has him in black and.... did they have a grand piano at Audubon Drive?
