Re: Some updates
Disappointed.
Thought I'd try and watch one of the movies from here on my android phone and then see if I could cast it to the TV.
Doesn't even play on my phone.
I get the window pop , but no movie will play.
Laptop works fine on the same wi-fi connection.
Tried the video clips on 31st July 1969 and they work fine. This is good as it means it's something daft that's preventing the movie not playing not a fundamental error in device settings preventing it.
Anyone else have any luck / no luck?

Re: Some updates
I've only tried watching them on the PC & they play OK.
As previously discussed, Loving You is in 4:3 [it was filmed in 1:78:1].
I ordered a 'new' copy of the DVD, thinking it would be in the correct aspect ratio, turned out to in 4:3 also !
Oh, well...

I see lots of places, amazon for one, is still selling the 25th anniversary copy that I've had for donkeys years.
Anyway - I've fixed the probelm - plays on my phone and casts to my TV!

Re: Some updates
Couple of updates.
Finally got Follow That Dream uploaded for those who are members and who may have noticed i'd placed a note on it to say having problems uploading.
As an aside, I was in the kitchen yesterday cooking a roast dinner, got this site up on my phone, played the FTD film, cast it to the TV in the kitchen and watched the movie on the TV whilst cooking. It was great!
Another update is on the concert database 69-77. I've expanded the options for audio release types to search via, the options now include All shows, irrespective of a release or not, just shows with a release, shows with no release, FTD releases, RCA / BMG / Sony releases, import reelases and CDR releases.
The above can be searched for by itself or alongside the other parameters listed.

Re: Some updates
Alan, is there a problem at my end, or is not possible to copy/paste within a post?
Also, I'm not able to copy images from the forum. Have you installed a 'No Rightclick' plugin (or something similar) or do I need to check my settings?

Re: Some updates
Sorry Bob, there is a no right click option in place. It was to do with footage and wanting to find a way of displaying rare / unreleased footage without anyone being able to have it on youtube within 5 minutes. It does affect everything else at the same time though (and I haven't found a comfortable way of doing the footage either )
However, to copy / paste : Highlight with mouse using left click and drag, press "CTRL & C" to copy then use "CTRL & V" to paste.

Re: Some updates
I fully understand the 'no right click' decision. I have it (via a plugin) installed on my own website as well. I absolute hate people who steal other people's work/uploads, without giving credit or leaving even just a simple thanks on the forum they got the image from.Alan wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:22 pmSorry Bob, there is a no right click option in place. As you know, there are special downloadable programs to copy all images from a thread (including protected images) with a few clicks of the mouse. But luckily, most thieves are lazy and don't want to go through the hassle of installing a 'difficult' program. So the no right click function scares most of these people off.
Thanks for the 'highlight and drag' explanation. This is new to me, but I've just tried it and it works like a charm.

Thanks.
I've made a note of this.
After all these years of slowly learning & remembering how to navigate around an internet screen, it's like starting over !

Re: Some updates
Trying to complete the 1954 - 1961 concert databse.
Can't stress the word "trying" enough!
Anywho, as a little example of being "different" the date of 26th September 1956 has a littel video clip of the first number, Heartbreak Hotel, with synched up dual footage ustilising the 8mm colour footage alongside the pro shot black and white footage as and when it applied.

As for the 'copy' & 'paste' without any 'right click' - it also works, but is there a 'cut' option ?
I know there's the 'delete' button, but sometimes you have the right text, but in the wrong place !
Normally, I'd use 'cut' & then 'paste' it in the right place.
As it is, I have to use 'copy', 'delete' & then 'paste'...
Thanks !
