Stephanie Spruill with Elvis backstage at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas after her performance with Tom Jones.

Stephanie tells a story of this night. Elvis was in Ceasers Palace, visiting Tom Jones.
She was determined to meet Elvis, and also get photo with him. Just as he showed up she realized her camera had no film. She took off running (literally sprinting through the building) to find film, then sprinted back just in time.
Elvis was happy to pose with her. Members of the Soul group The Blossoms, Fanita James and Jeannie King (they worked with Elvis in his 1968 TV Special, and also in his Change of Habit film) asked if they could join in photo with them.
(Incidentally, Stephanie would temporarily take Jeannie King's place in The Blossoms, after she passed away in 1984.)
She said she and Elvis squared off in Karate fashion where he invited her to throw punches at his hands held up, like a boxing coach talking to trainee.
Stephanie was taken aback by Elvis' incredible aura, and "the most beautiful eyes" she'd ever seen and said she "rather would have liked to kiss him" instead of play punch around.
(Info from her book "17 Points To Longevity In Showbusiness: Staying Focused on Your Vision")

IF YOU HAVE THE SECOND PHOTO IN COLOR I'D REALLY APPRECIATE THAT!
