Bill Black drove the car from the venue and fell asleep at the wheel of the 1951 Lincoln Continental. The car ploughed into the back of a truck.
Some accounts say it was Scotty driving, it wasn't, but the mix up refers to when Scotty drove then to their first Hayride gig in Oct 54 when he had a near miss.
To date no photos exist of this car during the short period Elvis had it. Bob Neal let the boys have his car whilst Elvis went after what he alone would make the most iconic car of the fifties - A pink Cadillac.
